How the Sunshine Slam Showdown Works
This is a modern, conservation-minded tournament designed for flexibility and fairness:
-
Fish anytime, anywhere in Florida during the event period. Submit entries inside the app; the system auto-culls to keep your best fish.
-
Required media per catch: a measurement photo (mouth closed, nose on bump board), an optional trophy photo, and a release video. Immediate release is required (no livewells/possession).
-
Phone & app: Use the eTournament Fishing app (Android/iOS) with current OS and check-in to the correct division before fishing.
Divisions & Entry Fees
-
Boat Division: $100
-
Kayak Division: $50
-
Shoreline Division: $25
You can enter multiple divisions, but each catch may be submitted to only one. An active eTournament Fishing app membership ($4.99/mo) is required.
Scoring, Prizes & Titles
-
Weekly Big Fish (per division): Longest single Redfish, Trout, or Snook each week wins.
-
Grand Slam (per division): Total length of your longest Redfish + longest Trout + longest Snook.
-
Grand Champion (cross-division): Same combined metric, ranked across all divisions.
-
Guaranteed cash prizes are awarded weekly and for overall standings.
