Join us for another fantastic Fins for Fons Fishing Tournament! Thanks to our incredible anglers, sponsors, donors, guests, and volunteers, this event continues to be a resounding success. We look forward to welcoming you this year!

About the Fins for Fons Event

The Dave Fons Memorial Fund started hosting this fishing tournament in 2020, and it has grown tremendously ever since. Our event now includes Junior and Adult divisions, with both Offshore and Inshore categories.

In addition to the fishing tournament, our two-day event features:

• A cocktail party
• A captain’s meeting
• A raffle
• An awards banquet

The tournament takes place at the Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village in Cape Coral, Florida.

Key Fins for Fons Information:

• Registration: Opens in April prior to the event. Junior and Adult Anglers can register for either the Offshore or Inshore divisions. All registrations include a complimentary event shirt and swag bag.
• Guided Captains: Available for Inshore division anglers for an additional fee.
• Boat Slips: If you will be requiring a boat slip for the weekend, please be sure to contact the Tarpon Point Marina at (239) 549-4900 to reserve at your earliest convenience as slips fill up fast!

We have secured a room block at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village, available for reservations now. To take advantage of our discounted rate, book your room by Thursday, August 16, 2024. If you need a boat slip for the weekend, please contact the Tarpon Point Marina at (239) 549-4900 as soon as possible to secure your spot. Resort Fee is discounted to $25/night per contract. Due to a Marriott wide update to the website, the Resort Fee will automatically display the standard $35/night fee. However, it will be adjusted upon arrival to the resort.
