Anchorage Aweigh

Join us for our 17th annual Anchorage Aweigh Fishing Tournament at Anchorage Park. This fun, recreational tournament is for both adults and youth, with a Kid’s Fishing Derby specifically for… the kids! See below for details. Lines go in the water at 6:00 a.m. and the Weigh-In takes place at the Anchorage Park Marina from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Inshore anglers will be fishing for trout, sheepshead, and snapper. Offshore anglers will be fishing for king, dolphin, wahoo, mutton snapper, and grouper. Awards for heaviest catch in both youth and adult divisions will be awarded.

After weigh-in, all participants and their families are invited to attend a cookout, entertainment, awards celebration and can try their chance at our raffles offered this year. The cookout and awards ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Kids Fishing Derby

The Kids Fishing Derby will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Anchorage Park. Participants will be meeting at the Anchorage Park Gazebo at 1:45 p.m. Bringing your own fishing rod is required and bait will be provided. This is a catch and release derby. Awards will be given for the largest fish caught in an 8 and under group and another for ages 9 to 15. No pre-registration required for the Kids Fishing Derby.

After weigh-in, all participants and their families are invited to attend a cookout with entertainment and an awards celebration. The cookout and awards ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m.
