The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade is the “Best Show on H2O” and the traditional kickoff to the South Florida holiday season. This unique event brings together our community and visitors from around the world to witness a spectacular parade of beautifully decorated boats of all sizes. With over a million viewers along the 12-mile parade route and an economic impact of over $50 million to Broward County, this floating extravaganza is a Fort Lauderdale institution.
The parade stages along the New River and travels east to the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale, then heads north to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach.
The best way to experience the parade is from Winterfest’s Parade Viewing Area, conveniently located in east Fort Lauderdale at Las Olas Intracoastal Promenade Park. Here, guests can enjoy a festival atmosphere with live entertainment before and after the parade.
Winterfest’s Parade Viewing Area is situated at the southeast corner of Las Olas Boulevard and the Intracoastal Waterway. Rideshare is encouraged, and parking is within walking distance of the event area. Gates open at 4 pm, so come early and bring the family (no pets, please) to enjoy the amenities, including the Stella Artois Culinary Courtyard, live entertainment, and various activities.
The parade starts at 6:30 pm along The New River in Downtown Fort Lauderdale and is expected to arrive at the viewing area around 7:00 pm. The Parade takes approximately 2 and 1/2 hours to view from one location (starting locations stagger as you travel north).
Seating will be provided, and live performances will feature radio personalities from iHeart Radio throughout the night. Tickets for the 2024 Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade will be available in September and will be electronic.
