The Yamaha Power Pay Program serves as a contingency program specifically tailored for tournament anglers who use a Yamaha outboard motor for their boat. This includes professionals, semi-professionals, and amateur anglers alike.

Requirements for owning a Yamaha outboard motor

To be eligible for the Yamaha Power Pay Program, anglers are required to own a Yamaha outboard motor. This motor should be no more than 60 months old and should range from 115-425 HP. The Yamaha outboard motor must be registered under the participant’s name and should be used on the angler’s boat while participating in the Power Pay supported tournament events.

Registration Process

To register, fill out the Yamaha Power Pay Program’s official registration form and submit it via email, fax, or traditional mail. Online registration is also an option.

Tournament Participation

Anglers are required to take part in a tournament that pays contingency and secure the highest finishing position among those registered for the Yamaha Power Pay Program. Selected tournament trails will reward the top two highest finishes. It should be noted that the highest finishes must be within the top 33% of the field, with a minimum field size of at least 40 boats. A list of Power Pay sanctioned events is available for reference.

Redeeming your reward

Within 30 days of your tournament finish, complete and submit the Yamaha Power Pay Awards form. After your submission is verified and approved, the contingency payment will be dispatched via U.S. mail. Winners are advised to allow a minimum of 8 weeks for the approval, processing, and distribution of the payment.
